Pay$oz interview with SPATE Magazine

Where does the name Pay$0z originate from?

Pay$0z is what makes the world go round which is Mulla aka peso Mexican money I should say. I just added some flavor to that, I'm everything the economy wants and needs so what greater name to choose. I decided to name myself Pay$0z once I saw that was one thing in the world people would do basically any and everything for to gain, and I feel that way about the music I present to the table. After people listen and hear what I have to bring and say then it gets to the point of having to do anything for more of that drug if you understand what I am implementing.

What makes you different from the million other hip hop artists?

Well babe duke artist would sit here and state they are bringing change and etc probably everything in the book, so with that being said I present Pay$0z everything a Rapper is not. I am not a Rapper an artist who makes and creates music for his fans with detail and color may I say OUCH!!!

How do you feel about the state of hip hop right now?

Babe sis hiphop is hiphop, it takes changes and goes different routes any time. I a m not totally satisfied with it but a lot more opportunities opened up for many people. Artist make it look to easy to make music therefore that is why it is so over saturated but it does not bother me much. Hiphop evolves through time so its going through it process.

What producers are you working with? Anyone we may know?

I have worked with Dave MG probably the biggest one who did Chamilionaire's New single, Don P, Truth whose on Interscope records, Beandril Beats, DJ Unexpected, and DJ nice just to name a few. For the ones you have not heard of yet they are heavy on the underground scene.

Where do you see yourself in 3 years?

Em….well the politically correct answer would be on top of the world sipping wine lol wouldn't everyone love that. I see myself wherever my career takes me which is to higher peaks and grounds but anything can happen anytime so I take everyday like it's the last.

Do you believe in god? If so how has god played a role in your life?

I do believe in GOD my parents are very religious people, but not to mention I happened to be reading an interview on Charles Hamilton who stated God was a female and explained it in a crazy way that actually made sense. Stating something in between the lines of Females give birth therefore etc.. you should know where I'm going with that.

Who is in your mp3 player?

Pay$0z, Jay-z, Biggie Smalls, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, Joe Buddens one of my favorite rappers, and that's about it. I do not listen to much hip hop at all due to the lack of difference within that horizon. I write a lot so a lot of my time is dedicated into that. I am also into a lot of art Takashi Murakami for instance great work, colorful detailed work, more music needs to be like that.

Who would be the ultimate collabo for Pay$0z?

Jay-Z of Course coming from Brooklyn that's one person I follow heavy and look up to. He has accomplished any goals coming from the life style and area he was raised from. I could relate to him the most I can say but a few others such as Common, Kanye West, and Gym Class heroes are in the mix as well babe sis.

What type of fashion style do you have?

My fashion style is kind a little bit of everything but fitted, a lot of YSL, Gucci, Dunks, Shade Of Greg they got a lot of crazy designs as well. I'm some where between the lines of high fashion with a little retro. Depending on place and time might even through a blazer on, Fly baby P ouch!!!!!
